Get emails sent to a mailbox to be forwarded to another mailbox.
  1. In the console tree, navigate to Recipient Configuration > Mailbox.
  2. In the result pane, right-click the mailbox for which you want to configure mail forwarding, and then click Properties.
  3. In <Mailbox> Properties, on the Mail Flow Settings tab, click Delivery Options, and then click Properties.
  4. Select the Forward to check box, and then click Browse.
  5. In Select Recipient, select the recipient to whom you want to forward messages, and then click OK.

  • || By default, the dialog box displays all recipients that are in the current recipient scope specified in the Recipient Configuration node. To learn more about the recipient scope and its impact on the recipient work center, see Understanding Recipient Scope. ||

  1. If you want incoming messages to be delivered to the mailbox as well as to the forwarding address you specified, select the Deliver message to both forwarding address and mailbox check box. Clear this check box to forward all incoming messages without retaining copies in the mailbox.
  2. Click OK to return to <Mailbox> Properties.

How to configure mail forwarding
Note The forwarding address can be any mail-enabled object. Examples of mail-enabled objects include distribution groups, security groups, public folders, and other related items.
  1. Start the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in.
  2. Right-click the mail-enabled user, and then click Properties.
  3. Click the Exchange General tab.
  4. Click Delivery Options.
  5. In the Forwarding Address section, click Forward to, and then click Modify.
  6. Click the mail-enabled user or the mail-enabled contact. Then, click OK.

    Note If you want e-mail to be delivered to the original mailbox as well as the forwarding address, select theDeliver messages to both forwarding address and mailbox check box.
  7. To close Delivery Options and to close Properties, click OK two times.
